APRIL 25, 2023 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Boards of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. Approved Seward County claims through April 14, 2023. Officials gave reports of their offices/departments. Approved use of courthouse square for Farmer’s Market as presented by Carol Albrecht. Approved RFID System agreement & surplus property disposal for Detention Center. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Approved Nebraska Dept. of Agriculture 2022 Report for the Weed Dept. Approved Plan Document and Summary Plan Description for the Employee Benefit Plan. Awarded gravel and culvert bids for the Road Dept. Approved use of courthouse lawn for the Bicycle Ride Across Nebraska (BRAN) activities on June 9, 2023. Approved contract with Ten Point Construction for Project C-80(676) Milford South Patching. Held two Executive Sessions for Personnel and Strategy Session. Approved adding Commissioner’s meeting voice recordings to the county website. Approved removing the podium from the Board Room for use by the Sheriff’s Office. Discussion was held on Planning Commission Member terms, replacing carpet in west wing building, tracts of land that will be affected by a State of Nebraska project, safety apparel for the Road Dept. and infrastructure related grants.
