Clyde Dwayne Kremer was born July 16, 1933, to Amos Kremer and Katie Schweitzer on a farm five miles south of Milford.
Clyde was the youngest of five silblings, Archie, Hazel, Willis and Margie. He went to West Mills county school, riding his pony, Tony, to and from school till he graduated eighth grade. Growing up on a farm, they had hogs, chickens and cows and he helped with plowing fields and putting up hay. For the first 17 years of his life, he was called Toby, later in life most called him CD.
Clyde joined the Air Force in 1953 with two of his best friends, Bill Oswalt and Ed Saltzman. After basic training, he was stationed at Goodfellow Air Force base in San Angelo, Texas, where he worked and flew on B-25s. In February 1961, Clyde was honorably discharged. Clyde's life truly began when two amazing things happened. He accepted the Lord as his savior, and he met the love of his life, a beautiful blue-eyed young lady at the roller skating rink in Seward. Doris was the love of his life for 67 years. Doris and Clyde were blessed with four children, Michael, Douglas, Debra and Andrew. With 16 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. Clyde was loved and adored by many and will be missed by all. Clyde entered heaven Jan. 15, 2025.
The funeral service will be at the EFree Church in Canon City, Colorado, on Monday Jan. 20, at 1 p.m.
