DECEMBER 27, 2022 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Boards of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. CLAIMS ALLOWED JANUARY31, 2023 The Seward County Board of Equalization convened on December 27, 2022 at 8:30 a.m. Present: Chairperson: John Culver Members: Misty Ahmic, Bob Vrbka, Ken Schmieding, Darrell Zabrocki Deputy County Clerk: Brandy Johnson County Assessor: Marilyn Hladky Approved minutes of December 13, 2022. Hladky gave an update of her office. Convened as the Board of Commissioners. Approved minutes of December 27, 2022. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Approved Zoning Fee Reports for October 2022 and November 2022. Approved Jones bank to pledge additional securities. Approved contract for County Surveyor and appointed Brian Foral as the Seward County Surveyor. Appointed Clark Jackson from District 2 to the Extension Board of Directors. No one was present from the Village of Bee for the Request for ARPA funds from Seward County item on the agenda. Discussion was held on disbursement of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds. Approved easements for box culvert projects on 252nd Rd and Old Cheney Rd. Approved Memorandum of Understanding with the Nebraska Administrative Office of the Courts and Probation. Jonathan Jank of the Seward County Economic Development Partnership presented a draft of Broadband Request for Proposal regarding the design, construction, development, operation & maintenance of county-wide fiber optic network for review.
