Donna Marie Rumler died peacefully at her home in Fort Collins, Colorado, on Jan. 31, 2025.

She was born Jan. 2, 1934, the first baby of the new year in Ogallala, to Emil and Mernie Fahrlander. The family moved to Milford, where she attended school and later married George Rumler. To this union, two sons and a daughter were born. Donna worked as a nurse at Sunrise Country Manor for many years. In 1994, following her husband’s death, she moved to a cherished family cabin in Garfield, Colorado, where she enjoyed several years of mountain top living before moving to Ft. Collins in 2002. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; son, John; grandson, Jason; and her brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Donna Fahrlander. Survivors include son, James (Emerita) Rumler of Denver, Colorado; daughter, Jeanne (Ron) Tickle of Wendell, North Carolina; sister, Linda Hoeltke of Corrales, New Mexico; sister, Nancy (Lee) Lindsay-Johnson of Anamosa, Iowa; granddaugher-in-law, Jamie Rumler of Larue, Texas; grandchildren, Chris and Jeff Tickle; step-grandchildren, Gia, Hannah, and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Lucas and Annabelle Rumler; step-great-grandchildren, Angelique, Brayden and Harper as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
