Fire burns six acres in rural Milford

A fire in Milford at 224 and Van Dorn on Thursday, June 17 started out as a baler fire, which spread across four to six acres of the hayfield. Milford Fire Chief John Melena said about 10-12 round bails caught fire as well, but with the help of Pleasant Dale mutual aid the fire was put out within 15 minutes. Melena said there were no injuries.
