JANUARY 3, 2023 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Boards of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. CLAIMS ALLOWED JANUARY 31, 2023 The Seward County Board of Commissioners convened on December 3, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. Present: Chairperson: John Culver Members: Misty Ahmic, Bob Vrbka, Ken Schmieding, Darrell Zabrocki County Clerk: Sherry Schweitzer Jonathan Jank and Joni Brecka of the Seward County Chamber & Development Partnership (SCCDP) gave an update of the organization. Lauri Sherman of BRIDGES gave an update of the organization. Officials gave updates of their offices. Approved minutes of December 27, 2022. Approved Seward County claims through December 23, 2022. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Approved the County Treasurer’s 2nd quarter Investment Report. Approved Jones bank to pledge additional securities. Accepted resignation of Tera Koetter, who was elected Clerk of the District Court for the 2023-2026 term, and appointed Sheila Lueders in her place. Approved American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for the Village of Bee Lift Station Renovation Project as presented by Chris Shipley. Discussion was held on infrastructure grants and ARPA funds. Approved Task Order Agreement for Road Project near Beaver Crossing. Approved addendum to interlocal agreement to include City of Milford in a Public Safety Computer Program. Approved starting wage for rehire of former employee.
