Kenneth Robert Schultz was born May 25, 1938, in Seward, to William and Helen (Dankers) Schultz and passed away June 16, 2024, in Lincoln, at the age of 86 years and 22 days.
He was baptized in Christ on June 12, 1938, and confirmed April 6, 1952, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Middle Creek in Seward, where he also attended school.
Kenny enlisted into the Army National Guard in 1956, until he was honorably discharged in 1964. On June 8, 1963, he was united in marriage to Bonnie Hans at Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln. To this union, their only child, Sharyl, was born. Kenny was a lifelong farmer on his family homestead. He was a truck driver for Seward Pig and Hermitage NGT, hauling hogs over many countless miles for more than 30 years. Kenny enjoyed traveling, playing cards and visiting with family, friends and his weekly breakfast group.
Kenny is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bonnie Schultz; niece, Cindy Krieser; nephew, baby Krieser; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Loretta Roebke, Diana and Lynn Tieken, Darrell Karr and Vern Fisk; parents-in-law, Arnold and Louise Hans.
Survivors cherishing his memory include his daughter, Sharyl Schultz, Seward; sisters and brothers-in-law, Phyllis Karr, Omaha, Arlene Fisk, Knoxville, Tennessee, Marge (Robert) Krieser, Garland; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marlene (Larry) McDonald, Lincoln, Betty Eggerling, Lincoln, Wayne Roebke, Crete; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
The funeral service was June 20 at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward with interment at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Seward. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Schultz family for future designations. Arrangements by Zabka-Perdue Funeral Home.
