Kevin Leon Cline, of Pleasant Dale, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 69.

Kevin was born March 22, 1952, to Delwyn and Betty (Jackson) Cline in Riverton. He grew up and attended school in the Riverton area, later attending UN-L. On June 26, 1976, from Look-Out Mountain in Colorado, Kevin married the love of his life, Kim Daria Wheeler.

Kevin was very passionate of giving and helping others. He was a social worker who worked in many areas, including developmental disabilities at the county and state levels. In 2018, he retired to enjoy the good life with his wife and family. He held positions with the Village of Pleasant Dale as village clerk, treasurer and on the Planning and Zoning Board of Pleasant Dale at the time of his death. He is described as one of the good guys. He was truly committed on helping better his community for the future of all children.   

Kevin’s vast interests included camping, fishing, gardening, relaxing in his pool, antique shopping, grilling in all seasons, U.S. History – in particular the U.S. Presidents – and traveling. Some of his fondest memories was when he flew an airplane on his 40th birthday, enjoying an ocean cruise, spontaneous road trips, family vacations, family reunions, a trip to Disney World, the South Fork Ranch, San Antonio, Oregon and visiting several state capitol buildings.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Kim, of Pleasant Dale; his daughters and sons-in-law, Heather and Brian Ford of Grand Island and Tiffanie and Gerardo Gregory of Crete; his grandchildren, Jennica Boardman of Lincoln, Layla Ford of Grand Island, Kelby Cline of Lincoln and Eli Ford of Grand Island; his sisters, Kathy (John) Jensen of Hildreth and Margie Worth of Lincoln; his nephews and nieces, David Williams of Lincoln, Dan (Stacey) Williams of Hastings, Kari Luther of Lincoln, Russ Largent of Lincoln, Kyle (Holly) Largent of Hildreth, Jeremy (Emily) Gildersleeve of Cairo and Amy (Jim) Lesonik of Giltner; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; brother, Steve Williams; and sister, Angie Luther.

A memorial service was Dec. 4 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Pleasant Dale.
