MARCH 30, 2021 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Boards of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. CLAIMS ALLOWED APRIL 27, 2021 The Seward County Board of Commissioners convened on March 30, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. Present: Chairperson: John Culver Members: Misty Ahmic, Bob Vrbka, Ken Schmieding, Darrell Zabrocki County Clerk: Sherry Schweitzer Approved the minutes of March 23, 2021. Approved Seward County Claims through March 19, 2021. Andrew Matney, 911 Director, gave an update of his office. Commissioners gave an update of their activities. Approved contract with AJ Buresh of Express Lawn Care for the mowing of abandoned cemeteries. Approved proclamation for the NACO Executive Director. Approved Conditional Use Permit for a television communications tower in K precinct. Approved sending the Admin Replat for Kortmeyer Addition back to the Planning and Zoning Commission. Agenda item for short form plat to create Tannahill Addition in J precinct was tabled due to lack of information. Dale Niemann, Seward County landowner, was present to discuss concerns with access to 392nd and Old Mill Road in regard to the TransCanada Pipeline Project. Approved request to deposit funds from the sale of Road Dept. surplus property into the Special Road Fund. Approved paint colors for the painting of the courthouse dome and clock tower. Accepted the resignation of Seward County Public Defender, Nicole Tegtmeier. Approved Seward County public Transit Director to apply for Public Transportation Operating Assistance for Fiscal Years 2021-2023. Approved Chairman to sign letter of support for grant application to the NPPD Site Ready Assistance Program as presented by Jonathan Jank, Executive Director of the Seward County Chamber and Development Partnership.
