Marcia Ann Boden, age 84, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 19, 2022, after suffering a fatal aortic aneurysm in Kaiser Hospital, Roseville, California.
Marcia was born to Albert and Dorothy (Busboom) Boden on Oct. 27, 1938, on a farm near Crete. She attended rural schools and graduated from Dorchester High School in 1956. After getting her degree in Education from the University of Nebraska in 1960, she obtained a teaching position with Grant Union High School in Sacramento, California. Marcia earned her Master's degree in Psychology from Sacramento State and became the Grant District Psychologist. Marcia retired after 40 years with the same school district and resided in Roseville all the years she lived in California.
Marcia enjoyed traveling and went to many different countries. She was a member of Plymouth Congregational UCC Church in Crete her entire life and attended Centerpoint Community Church in Roseville.
She is survived by a brother, Gerald “Jerry” Boden of Milford; and a nephew, Michael Boden, his wife, Connie, and their son, Clark, all of Poughkeepsie, New York. Marcia was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Kathy (Hojer) Boden and Marcia's long0-time partner, Tony Velo.
She was cremated and her wish was for no memorial service.
