Nena M. Evans, 58, passed away Nov. 24, 2021, in her Robesonia, Pennsylvania, residence.

She was the beloved wife of Thomas S. Evans, with whom she celebrated 24 years of marriage.

Born in Milford, she was the daughter of the late James W. and Lorraine E. (Lundin) Gustafson.

Nena was a 1981 graduate of Milford High School, where she played both basketball and softball. She also was a 1985 graduate of Michigan Technological University, where she received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering – Power. Nena worked for WorleyParsons for 36 years as a Senior Project Engineer, with professional licensing in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin. She was responsible for the skilled electrical design of multiple high profile power plants all around the world.

She was a parishioner of Bethany Lutheran Church, West Reading, Pennsylvania.

Nena was musically talented and played the tuba and euphonium in the Milford marching band and Michigan Tech Pep band. She also enjoyed embroidering, cooking and taking photos. Nena loved to spend time at the lake house, fishing on her father’s boat and being around the camp fire; but most importantly, she was a devoted mother to her daughters, always cheering them on in whatever sports or activities they participated in.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two daughters, Charlotte I. Evans, companion of Justin Cox, and Violet G. Evans. She is also survived by her three siblings, Lisa M. Andrud, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Cathy M., wife of Ron Moretto, Wolverine Lake, Michigan, and Eric J. Gustafson, Milford, Michigan; seven nieces and nephews, Alaura, wife of Dillon Bak, Travis Andrud, Rachel Andrud, Nathan Andrud, Daniel Andrud, Nolan Gustafson and Arika Gustafson. Lastly, she is survived by her mother and father in-law, Margaret and Gerald Evans, West Reading, Pennsylvania, as well as, her sister-in law Amy Evans, New York, New York.

Nena was predeceased by her nephew, Owen Anderson.
