NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON APPLICATION FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at 7:00 P.M. in the Milford City Hall, 402 1st Street, Milford, Nebraska 68405, the City Council will hold a Public Hearing to provide an opportunity for public comment concerning an existing Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) project awarded to the City. CDBG #20-PP-011 Downtown Revitalization Plan: In 2020, the City was awarded $50,000 in CDBG funds to implement a new Downtown Revitalization Plan. The project proposed a match from City funds in the amount of $12,500 for a total available project cost of $62,500. The planning documents have been completed after 18-months of committee meetings, on-line surveys and focus group meetings. A Town Hall presentation of the draft final documents was held on June 7th, 2022. After a final review by the Downtown Review Committee, the final set of planning documents is intended to be submitted to the City Council for consideration and approval. All interested parties are invited to attend this public hearing, at which time you will have an opportunity to be heard regarding the grant application. Written and oral testimony will also be accepted at the public hearing scheduled for 7:00 p.m., July 5th, 2022, at the Milford City Hall, 402 1st Street, Milford, Nebraska. Written comments addressed to the City Clerk, City Hall, PO Box 13, Milford, Nebraska 68405, will also be accepted if postmarked on or before Friday, July 1, 2022.
