Concordia art students will host a pottery sale Friday, April 25, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Janzow Campus Center. Sale items include original handmade pottery for gifts or personal use.
The Seward Rotary Club will plant a ceremonial tree at the Nebraska National Guard Museum to honor long-time member and mayor of Seward the late Roger Glawatz on Friday, April 25, at 10 a.m. The public is invited to attend the informal event. Two trees will be planted at the Seward Arbor Day celebration at the Seward Civic Center on Friday, April 25, at 1 p.m. There will be speeches, music and awards, as well. The trees will honor the 100th birthday of the Seward Rotary Club and the 125th anniversary of the GFWC Seward Woman’s Club. The event is open to the public.

Author Joy Huber will present her experience of being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer at the age of 33 on Friday, April 25, at 12:30 p.m. at the Milford Senior Center. In 2012, Huber wrote “Cancer with Joy: How to Transform Fear into Happiness and Find the Bright Side Effects.”
