If 2020 wasn’t enough social distancing, Olde Glory Theater is set to present its upcoming show “Stuck at Home” June 19 – 22. “Stuck at Home” is a comedy set in 2020, full of Zoom calls, virtual first dates and plenty of dad jokes.

Fontenelle Forest, an organization dedicated to the conservation of raptors, will bring live raptors to the Seward Memorial Library on Tuesday, June 18, at 1 p.m. All ages are welcome. No registration or limit is required.

Spring is here, and birds are busy preparing their nests. The Seward Memorial Library will host an event Wednesday, June 19, at 1 p.m. to create bird nests. Participants will also have the chance to paint a wood-carved bird. There is a limit of 20 participants, so registration is required.
A veterans coffee will be every Wednesday from 7:30 – 9:30-ish at the Spare Time Lounge in Seward.
The Pleasant Dale American Legion breakfast will be Sunday, June 23, at the legion hall from 8 a.m. to noon. Sausage, French toast, pancakes, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, coffee and juice will be available for a free-will donation.
Visitation for Sam Schluckebier will be June 18 from 1-8 p.m. at Zabka-Perdue Funeral Home in Seward. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., also at the funeral home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, June 19, at 10:30 a.m. at Hillcrest Evangelical Free Church in Seward.
Jesse Daniel Wells went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the age of 26. Visitation will be Wednesday June 19, at the Lauber Funeral Home in Friend from 4 – 7 p.m. A memorial service will be Thursday June 20, at 10:30 a.m. at the Milford Mennonite Church in Milford. Memorial contributions are suggested in care of the family for a future designation.
Camille Rose (Dvorak) Oliva, age 95, of Seward passed away April 9, 2024, at the Ridgewood Care Center in Seward. A graveside committal of ashes for Camille will be Saturday, June 22, at 11 a.m. at Bohemian National Cemetery in Milligan. There will be a meal and time of remembrance at Charlie's Pub following the committal of ashes. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Blue Valley Pet Rescue in Seward.
Marylou (Grummert) Schneidermann was born May 27, 1955, in Omaha and was adopted by Elmer and Etta Mae (Vice) Grummert and passed away June 6, 2024, in Seward at the age of 69 years and 10 days. A memorial service will be Saturday, June 22, at 10 a.m. at Zabka-Perdue Funeral Home in Seward with a private family inurnment and graveside service planned. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Schneidermann family for future designation.
