Finding unique pieces to upcycle led to Wendy Kremer selling her refurbished furniture to others, eventually landing her inside The Second Closet. Kremer’s home decor garnered an audience through the store and via her painting business Wendy’s Premier Painting.
With higher demands and more eyes on her work, Kremer decided to open her new business as a way to meet consumer needs – A Modern Touch.

The Utica Senior Center will host Seniors Music Bingo on Wednesday, June 19, at 12:30 p.m.
Spring is here, and birds are busy preparing their nests. The Seward Memorial Library will host an event Wednesday, June 19, at 1 p.m. to create bird nests. Participants will also have the chance to paint a wood-carved bird. There is a limit of 20 participants, so registration is required.
The Seward Farmers Market will be open this afternoon from 5-7 p.m. at the Seward County Fairgrounds, east of the horseshoe pits. Tonight's hamburger stand is hosted by Seward County Democrats. Among the items now ready are rhubarb, lettuce, peas, beets and mulberries.

The annual meeting of the Milford Friends of the Senior Center will be Thursday, June 20, at 12:30 p.m. at the Milford Senior Center. Milford Friends of the Senior Center is a 501c-3 charitable organization whose purpose is to receive and disburse funds from the charitable gifts intended for support for the Milford Senior Center.
It will be a farm animal afternoon at the Seward Memorial Library on Thursday, June 20, at 1 p.m. Due to cancellations, there will not be a petting zoo, but animal bingo and other activities are planned. This event is for ages K-fifth grade. No registration is required.
