ALLO breaks ground in Milford

ALLO Communications has officially begun construction on a new fiber internet network in Milford.

The company held a groundbreaking ceremony Sept. 12 outside City Hall and planned to begin work that day as well.

The ceremony included ALLO representatives, as well as city and chamber officials.

At this point, the company’s local office building will be located in Seward, but ALLO will still support both Seward and Milford through its fiber network.

“We will be hiring local technicians and customer experience representatives in Milford,” Tanna Hanna, director of marketing and social media at ALLO Communications, said. “We believe in giving back to communities that we serve. Being local is a core value at ALLO.”

Hanna said the construction process should end around the spring of 2023 and the fiber laying process should take around 7-8 months.

Hanna said Milford has been on ALLO’s list of communities that it has wanted to come to for a long time.

“We are excited to start the project and continue our mission to connect as many homes, businesses and government entities as possible to our all-fiber network,” she said. “If your home or business is outside of that area, please send your address and contact information to info@allofiber.com.”
