COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Board of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month, meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Board of Equalization meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month starting at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. Glawatz. County Clerk Sherry Schweitzer; County Assessor Marilyn Hladky. Approved the minutes of May 24, 2016. Approved 6 Tax List Corrections. Approved an exemption for Memorial Health Care Systems. Hladky updated the Commissioners on the activities of her office. Met as the Board of Commissioners. Approved the minutes of June 7, 2016. Mike Janssen, Building and Grounds Supt. reported progress on several projects. Approved documents for a Juvenile Services Aid Grant as presented by Casey Tiemann of the County Attorney’s Office. Commissioners reported on their activities of the past week. Adopted resolution to allow Jones National Bank & Trust Co. to pledge securities. Adopted resolution to allow transfer of funds from Inheritance Fund to Debt Service Fund. Approved the Surplus Property Disposal Report for Building and Grounds. Approved the Clerk of the District Court Fee Report. Adopted resolution for additional funds for the Petty Cash Fund. Wendy Elston, County Attorney noted that Firespring will be at the Same Page meeting. Approved Joann Sieck to the Seward County Representative for Aging Service on Aging Partners Area Wide Council. Curt Parrack, Highway Supt. was present to discuss the Denton Road Project and a bridge repair. Approved an authorization to repair bridge near 266th and Branched Oak Rd. Approved right of way requests in H, C, O Precincts. Richard Nation and Heather Lytle of Blue Valley Community Action gave their annual report and request for contribution.
