COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Boards of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month, meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Board of Equalization meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month starting at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. OCTOBER CLAIMS ALLOWED OCTOBER 25, 2016 The Seward County Board of Equalization convened on September 13, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. Present: Chairperson Whitney Fleischman; Members: Mike Luebbe, Diana Garske, Eugene Gausman, Roger E. Glawatz; County Clerk Sherry Schweitzer; County Assessor Marilyn Hladky. Approved the minutes of August 9, 2016. Approved a Tax List Correction. Hladky updated the Commissioners on activities in her office. Met as the Board of Commissioners. Approved the minutes of August 30, 2016. Mike Janssen, Building and Grounds Supt. discussed storage issues. Opened bids for fuel storage tanks. Approved several documents in regards to Bridge projects and McKelvie Road Projects as presented by Georgia Stockley of the Road Dept. Approved the 2016-2017 Budget and Tax Request. Authorized the Chairman to sign a health insurance document as presented by Michaela Tuttle. Authorized the Chairman to sign the Safran MorphoTrak Live Scan Maintenance & Support Agreement and the Encartele Video Visitation Proposal and Contract for Jail. Approved 4 Change Orders/ Requests presented by Dean Uhlenberg of Beckenhauer Construction. Commissioner Fleischman gave an update on the Justice Center. Commissioners reported on their activities for the week. Approved pay raises for employees, effective July 1, 2016 and payable with October payroll. Accepted Clerk of the District Court and County Clerk August Fee Report. Authorized the Chairman sign the Asbestos Removal Proposal from Bockmann, Inc.
