A 5K and one-mile fun run will be a part of Milford Fun Days again this year.
The event will begin at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20, but runners and walkers should register early.
The event is open to all levels of participants, from walkers to joggers to marathon runners.
The one-mile run/walk will have divisions for those age 10 and under (free) and 11 and older ($15 registration fee). The 5K participants will run in one division ($20 registration fee).
The winning girl and boy runners for the 5K and one-mile runs each will receive a $50 gift card to the Running Company.
Second place winners will receive a $25 gift card to the Running Company.
All participants will receive a medal and a race T-shirt (T-shirt not guaranteed if registered after Aug. 1), as well as water and snacks after the race.
Proceeds support the Milford Chamber of Commerce activities.
The race will begin at First and B streets in Milford, in front of the U.S. Post Office.
Race packets for those who register may be picked up from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, on the Milford Senior Center lawn, or from 6:30 to 6:50 a.m. at the post office thew morning of the race.
