Lois Ann (Wilson) Hall was born Nov. 6, 1926, in Riverton, Wyoming, to Hugh and Anna May (Underwood) Wilson, the first of four children. She was a young 98-year-old when she changed her address to her heavenly home on March 24, 2025.

She began her life-long learning when she attended District 78 country school and Exeter Public School, graduating with the Class of 1944 from Exeter High School. She continued her education at Bryan School of Nursing, where she entered the Cadet Nursing Program and became a Registered Nurse. On Sept. 26, 1947, she married the love of her life, Dale Lee Hall, at the Methodist Church in Exeter. To this union, three children were born: Peggy, Julie and David. Together they made their initial home in Kearney, then Trumbull, and in 1956, they moved to Milford.

Ann lived a vibrant faith that informed her life of service. She worked diligently as an RN for more than 40 years, retiring in 1988 from Seward Memorial Hospital. She was a faithful member of the Milford United Methodist Church and the American andbraska Nurses’ Association. Throughout her life, Ann was deeply involved in her community and served as a strong advocate for people witheds through Tabitha Hospice, Milford Senior Center, Little Leaps Child Development Center, and the Webermeier Library Board.

In her spare time, she enjoyed walking, reading and attending the annual Wilson Women’s Outings. Ann and Dale thoroughly enjoyed traveling, and were able to visit all 50 states, with their last trip in 2011 to Alaska with their children and spouses.

She is survived by her sister, Alice “Rea” Plettner, Columbus; daughters: Peg (Sid) Burkey, Milford; Julie (Pat) Moore, Hazard; and son: Dave (Becky) Hall, Palmyra. Her eight grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren are: Matt (Kristy) Burkey, Anna, Violet and Willa, Williams Lake, BC, Canada, Anna (Jayme) Dick-Burkey, Bowen, Jackie and Josie, Lincoln, Jed (Natelie) Burkey, Isaac and Kayleigh, Omaha, Zach (Ann) Moore, Malachi, Daniel, Joshua and Genevieve, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Luke (Melanie) Moore, Cherish, Levi, Mia and Emmett, Columbus, Daniel (Hannah) Hall, Lily, Finley and Cooper, Harrisonburg, Virginia, Amanda (Josh) Stubbendick, Madison, Henry, Caleb, Joanna and Lydia, Syracuse, Thomas (Aslynd) Hall, and Bowie, Palmyra. She is also survived by many nieces andphews, relatives and friends.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale; brothers, John (Carol) Wilson, and Hughie Wilson, and other in-laws, Glen Plettner; Evan (Lucille) Hall, Velma (Loren) Bennett, Mabel (Tommy) Byrum, Lloyd (Lavern/Dorothy) Hall, Ray (Bernice) Hall, Roy (Louise) Hall, and Howard (Florence) Hall.

Ann’s celebration of life will be Monday, April 7, at 10:30 a.m. at the Milford United Methodist Church. Visitation will be at the church on Sunday, April 6, from 3 – 5 p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Milford United Methodist Church or to The Foundation for Memorial Health Care Systems.
