Merlyn Leroy Berg passed away Feb. 1, 2024. He was born Sept. 20, 1941, to Eugene and Myrrl Berg in Pleasant Dale.
Merlyn was a proud U.S. Army veteran. After many years of service with the Burlington Northern Railroad, he retired. During his remaining years, he can be remembered for his love of animals (horses) and his green thumb with his passion of botany. He was a avid model railroad enthusiast and a passionate supporter of the Seward County Fair.
Merlyn is suvived by his sisters, Kathy Hoover and Margaret Kolberg; and various nieces and nephews. Merlin is proceeded in death by his parents; sister, Emily Havlovic; and brother, Neil Berg.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Merlyn Berg Estate, 630 Denise Dr., Seward, NE 68434.
A private memorial ceremony for the family will be conducted at a later date.
