Milford archers shine at tournaments

Milford archers once again put their archery skills on display Feb. 11, taking home several top three finishes at the Pound Middle School and Prairie Bowman 3-D tournaments.

In the bullseye event at Pound Middle School, the Milford team was led by Jenna Wolf, who placed second in the high school girls division and was the second overall female.

Allie Gerdes won her first division title, placing first in the middle school girls and fourth overall female.

Ayla Salistean had a solid day and placed third in the middle school girls.

Chris Wissenburg broke the top 10 for the first time, placing 10th in the middle school division.

Kenley Lovitt and Sadie Frazier finished just outside the top 10, placing 11th and 12th respectively in the middle school female division.

At the Prairie Bowman 3-D shoot, Milford archers were led by Jay Wissenburg placing first in the high school male division and second overall male or female in the entire shoot.

Natalie Nutzman led the ladies, tying for first in the high school female division and ultimately placing second in the tiebreaker.

In the middle school division, Ayla Salistean placed second for the ladies, and Chris Wissenburg placed third for the boys.

Next, Milford will compete at the Blessed Sacrament tournament in Lincoln. A couple of team members will travel to Overland Park, Kansas, for the Border Wars tournament.
