Milford boys fall on road

The Milford boys’ basketball team saw its offense go as cold as the temperature in a 51-39 loss at Aurora Jan. 15.

After building a 31-23 halftime lead, the Eagles scored just eight points in the second half.

“We went eight minutes of game time without scoring,” Coach Mitchell Marvin said.

Despite that, Milford only trailed by one entering the fourth quarter. Aurora pulled away in the frame to take home the win.

Marvin said Aurora also has quick guards and a big inside presence, similar to Milford.

Landon Roth led the Eagles with 16 points and six rebounds.

Milford (6-7) was to host Lakeview Jan. 20 and beat the Vikings  53-47 and will travel to Beatrice Thursday, Jan. 22.
