Milford Public Schools receives Board of Excellence Award

Milford Public Schools was recently named a recipient of the Board of Excellence Award, given by the Nebraska Association of School Boards.

Twenty boards across Nebraska received the award.

The honored MPS School Board consisted of Craig Shaw, Dave Welsch, Jessica Dunlap, Jim Stahly, Ned Pauley and Tony Roth, in addition to superintendent Kevin Wingard.

In order to receive the award, board members must attain a minimum of Level I Award and must have a voting delegate participate in the annual NASB Delegate Assembly. Members of the board must each attend a minimum of two out of seven different NASB, NSBA or NASA-sponsored learning opportunities. Board members must also participate in at least one local leadership team planning retreat. Total points accrued by the board must equal a minimum of 1,000, and total points earned during the Board Development year must equal a minimum of 350.
