Runza fundraiser scores big for good cause

Twenty-five Runza locations, including ones in Milford, Crete and Seward, participated in a fundraiser on March 26 in which 10% of sales went to Angels Among Us, a nonprofit organization that provides financial and emotional support to pediatric cancer families. Check out this week's papers to see just how much money was raised.
 

Clippers shut out North Platte

The Malcolm baseball team picked up its seventh win of the season, this one a 4-0 victory over North Platte March 30. Mason Wisnieski struck out 10 in 6.1 innings. Maddox Meyer doubled and drove in a run for Malcolm. The Clippers (7-0) are next in action April 2 at home against Lincoln Christian.
 

Soccer to host tournament

The Seward boys' and girls' soccer teams are slated to host the Bluejay Invitational today with games starting at 9:30 a.m. at Seward Elementary. The final games are set to start at 3:30 p.m.
 

Baseball takes field

The Seward baseball team is scheduled to host Nebraska City at noon today at Plum Creek Park.
