SHS walks off Lincoln Lutheran

The Seward baseball team needed almost every out against Lincoln Lutheran before walking off with a 2-1 win. The Jays tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the sixth and held the Warriors scoreless in the top of the seventh. In the bottom of the inning, Carter Ernesti reached on a one-out single. Kyle Peery came in to run for him, and, with two outs, stole second and scored on a throwing error, giving the Jays the win. SHS is scheduled to host Lincoln Pius X today at 4:30 p.m.

CM downs LNW in extras

Crete-Milford needed eight innings to beat Lincoln Northwest April 5 but did so 4-3. In the bottom of the eighth, Kenner Svitak drew a one-out walk and advanced to second on a balk. He took third on a ground ball to shortstop and scored on a wild pitch. Carson Kotil and Nick Wendt had two hits each for CM.
