Two new candidates and another five incumbents added their names to the ballot list for the May primary between Jan. 30 and Feb. 6.

Incumbents have until Feb. 17 to file for re-election to county, city, school board and village posts. Non-incumbents have until March 2.

Kaely Eberspacher has joined Tyler Dickinson in the race for District 3 Seward County commissioner, for which Raegan Hain is not seeking re-election. Both are Republicans, which means that race will appear on the primary ballot in May.

To date, Debra Frank of Staplehurst is the only candidate running for a village board position.
