NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Commissioners of Seward County, Nebraska, at the office of the County Clerk at Seward, Nebraska, until 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at which time they will be publicly opened in the County Board of Commissioners Room for furnishing: TWO (2) Current Year manufacture Articulated Motor Grader AND Alternate bid for TWO (2) Current Year manufacture All Wheel Drive (AWD) Articulated Motor Grader With or Without Trade In: 1993 Caterpillar 140H VHP 72V15543 2002 Caterpillar 140H VHP 2ZK07813 Delivery Date: 120 days following acceptance of bid. Specifications and bid forms may be obtained at the office of the County Highway Superintendent in the West Wing, 320 S. 14th Street, Seward, Nebraska. Bidders are to submit descriptive literature and detailed specifications for each unit bid. Separate bids are requested for each unit. Each bidder will be required to submit with his proposal a Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable, without condition, to the County Treasurer of Seward County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of his proposal. Unsuccessful bidders’ bond or check will be returned upon awarding of a contract. The successful bidders’ bond or check will be retained until delivery of the unit to Seward County. In the event the successful bidder refuses to enter into a contract with Seward County or is unable to deliver the equipment agreed to in a contract, said bid bond or check shall be forfeited to Seward County.
