Notice to Bidders The Seward County Road Department is seeking proposals for Rock. Sealed bids will be received Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. except holidays, until 10:15 a.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2018. Bids shall be in a sealed envelope, clearly marked “Sealed Bid – Rock” and shall have the name of the Bidder, and the time and date of the bid opening. Do not fax bids, only sealed bids will be accepted. Bids must be sent to: Clerk of Seward County County Courthouse 529 Seward Street PO Box 190 Seward, Nebraska 68434 Bids not addressed and delivered to the above person will not be considered. Bids received after the above stated time and date will not be considered. Bid opening will be a public opening to be held in the Seward County Commissioners Room at 529 Seward Street, Seward, Nebraska. The bid opening will be at 10:15 a.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2018. All bids submitted shall be valid for a period of ninety (90) days following the final date for submission of bids. Each bidder will be required to submit with his proposal a Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable, without condition, to the County Treasurer of Seward County, Nebraska, in the amount $500. Unsuccessful bidders’ bond or check will be returned upon awarding of bid. Seward County will not be liable for costs incurred by Bidders for proposal preparation, printing, demonstration, or any other costs associated with or incurred in reliance on proposal creation. All such costs shall be the responsibility of the Bidder. The Bidder need not include sales tax in the bid. Seward County will, upon request, furnish the successful Bidder with a completed State of Nebraska Tax Exempt Form 13 upon acceptance of the successful Bidder's proposal.
