Lester Breidenstine, program director for Southeast Community College's diesel-ag/truck program, and Kate Loden, department chair for arts and sciences at SCC, both received Outstanding Faculty Awards when the school held its annual faculty and staff awards ceremony recently.

“What I enjoy most about working at SCC is working with so many different interesting people for the common purpose of growing our minds,” Loden said. “I'm learning from students daily, students are learning from faculty and each other and everyone on campus is working to make learning happen. It's a privilege to be part of this success.”

Information Service Technician Michael Rudebush received the Outstanding Staff Award during the virtual ceremony.

Farmers and Merchants Bank of Milford, who has sponsored the awards since 1983, presented plaques and $500 checks to the three recipients.

Juan C. Palacios, public safety officer at SCC-Milford, was recognized with the Safety Award.
