Solving storage limitations

Seward school’s maintenance teams up with Milford firm, Levrack

The Seward Public Schools maintenance team installed a new sliding storage unit by partnering with Levrack, a storage unit company based out of Milford.

The unit, which is 10 feet long by four feet wide by eight feet tall, was placed in the maintenance shop behind the middle school.

Seward Public Schools Maintenance Director Adam Dowling said he had heard of Levrack before and was pleasantly surprised to learn that the company, which is known worldwide, was local. The company wanted to partner with the school for this to help give back to the community and get its name out locally.

The Levrack unit has five cabinets that can move side to side separately so users can walk in the unit and open them from the side. Levrack said this maximizes storage space and allows for more efficient, organized shelving.

“You have a lot of storage in one spot because you can store a bunch of different cabinets all in one area, and you just slide it back and forth,” Dowling said.

The Levrack unit has made it easier for the maintenance team to find what they're looking for and prevented them from having to scrounge around for things, he said.

“We took a couple old wooden cabinets that were packed to the gills with stuff and held together with hopes and dreams that they would not fall apart and (the Levrack) took the place of those,” he said. “It’s been a night and day difference.”

So far, the team has filled the unit with items including power tools, hand tools, sprinkler equipment, painting materials and more.

“We were able to get them all in one section instead of just kind of floating around random spots here and there,” Dowling said.

Levrack Sales and Operations Manager Katie Leininger said a wide variety of customers buy from Levrack, including hospitals, members of the automotive industry, warehouses, members of the farm industry and everyday people who want better storage in their homes.

“If you need a place for storage; whether it’s in your pantry, your laundry room, your basement, out in your garage or anywhere you need storage, we could be the solution you’re looking for,” she said.
