AUGUST 19, 2025 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Board of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. CLAIMS ALLOWED SEPTEMBER 23, 2025 The Seward County Board of Commissioners convened on August 19, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. Present: Vice Chairperson: Darrell Zabrocki Members: Raegan Hain, Ken Schmieding, Scott Pekarek County Clerk: Sherry Schweitzer Absent: Chair: Misty Ahmic Approved minutes of August 12, 2025. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Approved request for Employee Appreciation event funds. Approved Vice Chair to sign Equitable Sharing Agreement and Certification of the County Attorney’s Office. Held Public Hearing to establish private drive names for Birch, Hackberry, Peach, Shagbark and Willow Drives and approved new addresses for the forementioned Drives. Held Executive Session to discuss strategy. Approved tabling the signing of the Equitable Sharing Agreement and Certification of the Sheriff’s Office until October 30, 2025. Approved a completion and final reimbursement form for the Nebraska Dept. of Transportation. Approved new Road Dept. Senior Equipment Operator job description and wage. Approved setting the tax requests for the various Miscellaneous Districts of Seward County.
