AUGUST 30, 2022 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Boards of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. Approved Seward County claims for the period through August 19, 2022. Officials gave updates of their offices. Approved Equitable Sharing Agreement and Certification form for the County Attorney for Fiscal Year 2021-2022. Matt Kasich of Region V Services was present to give the agency’s annual report and the request for funding for the 2022-2023 Fiscal Year. Discussions were held on the National Opioid Settlement, the purchase of real estate for the Homeland Security Investigations building, budgets, infrastructure-related grants and ARPA funds. Approved Drug Fund Equitable Sharing Agreements and the Village of Staplehurst Contract with the Seward County Sheriff’s Office and Attorney’s Office. Approved insurance offer for two Detention Center vehicles. Approved Advanced Correctional Healthcare request for Detention Center. Approved advertising for bids for a body scanner for Detention Center. Approved plans for workforce development. Approved a lease with Southeast Nebraska CASA. Commissioners gave reports of their activities.
