Carlice “Carla” Sue Porter, 67, of Milford, gained her heavenly home on, Thursday, March 7, 2024.
She was born Oct. 7, 1956, in Lincoln,to Carl and Alice (Lindner) Bornemeier. She was feisty and outspoken, had an enormous heart for animals and lived for life for all it had to offer. Cancer took her on March 7, 2024. She was proud to be in her eighth year of sobriety. In those eight years, she was able to reconnect with her family.
Carla is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Ronda (Merle) Eggerling; brothers, Doug (Jackie) Bornemeier, Robert Bornemeier and Andy Bornemeier; and her favorite nephew, Juston (Rhiannon) Wendt.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Houdek; and bather and stepmom; Carl Bornemeier, and Karen Bornemeier.
There is no Visitation. A Celebration of Life service will be Thursday, March 21, at 11 a.m. at the Lauber Funeral Home in Milford. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Blue River Pet Rescue in Seward. Arrangements by Lauber Funeral and Cremation Services.
