COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS SEPTEMBER 16, 2025 Board of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. CLAIMS ALLOWED OCTOBER 21, 2025 The Seward County Board of Commissioners convened on September 16, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. Present: Chairperson: Misty Ahmic Members: Raegan Hain, Darrell Zabrocki, Ken Schmieding, Scott Pekarek County Clerk: Sherry Schweitzer Approved minutes of September 9, 2025 and September 10, 2025. Approved consent agenda consisting of a surplus property disposal request and a utility permit in J precinct. Clark Kolterman, Van Vahle and Joanie Brecka, of the Visitors Bureau, presented information about the organization’s activities and their use of the money that is collected via the lodging tax collected in Seward County. Officials gave updates of their department/office. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Discussions were held on the Seward County budget and options for a minimum maintenance road in precinct A.
