FEBRUARY 25, 2025 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Board of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Held Public Hearing for 1 & 6 Year Road Plan. Several members of the public were present to speak. Hwy Supt, Jon Regnier & Asst Hwy Supt, Trever Trebilcock, were present to answer questions. Laura McDougall of Four Corners Heath Dept was present to give an update on the organization. Appointed Jillian Fickenscher as the physician member on the Four Corners Health District Board for the term of 2025 to 2027. Approved estimate from Middle Creek Printing for County decals. Discussions were held on future plans for Fairground Road between Hillcrest and Lincoln St.; the exceptional anticipated costs associated with an upcoming Seward County murder case; a courthouse maintenance project; County department closing policies & procedures; and a legislative update.
