MARCH 25, 2025 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Board of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. Highway Superintendent, Jon Regnier gave an update of his department. Veterans Service Officer, Ray Foreman introduced Veteran of the Month, Roger Cradick. Opened bids for mowing of abandoned cemeteries. Bid will be awarded next week. Approved the 2023–2024 fiscal year audit and authorized chair to sign the management representation letter presented by GBE, CPA. Approved request from the 4th of July Committee to use the Courthouse lawn for the 2025 4th of July Celebration. Commissioners gave reports of their activites. Held two Executive Sessions to discuss strategy/personnel. Discussion was held on the 457(b) deferred compensation plan contract with Spectrum/Wealth Partners, the Declaration of Emergency for Seward County due to the March 19, 2025 winter storm.
