NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE MILFORD CITY COUNCIL Public notice is hereby given by that the Mayor and City Council of the City of Milford, Nebraska (the “City Council”) will hold a public hearing at the regular meeting of the City Council scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on August 5, 2025, at the City Hall Office, 402 1ST St., Milford, Nebraska. The purpose of the hearing is for the City Council to obtain public comment prior to its consideration of: (1) a proposed amendment to the Redevelopment Plan of the City of Milford, Nebraska (the “City”), which amendment shall involve a specific redevelopment project proposing to utilize tax increment financing (TIF) to acquire real estate and to construct improvements in an area of the City that has been declared blighted and substandard and in need of redevelopment pursuant to the Community Development Law; (2) a cost-benefit analysis for said project; and (3) approval of a Redevelopment Agreement to implement said project. The property which is the subject of this notice and of the public hearing is not currently addressed, but is referred to as Seward County Assessor Parcel ID 800016238 and is legally described as follows: A tract of land described as: Referring to the Southwest corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter (NW1/4SW1/4) of Section Two (2), Township Nine (9) North, Range Three (3), East of the 6th P.M., Seward County, Nebraska. Thence in a Northerly direction along the West line of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 2, a distance of 860.0 feet to the Point of Beginning; Thence in a Easterly direction parallel to and 860.0 feet North of the South line of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 2, a distance of 715.0 feet; thence South parallel to the West Line of the Northwest Quarter to the Southwest Quarter of said Section 2 a distance of 66.0 feet; thence in an Easterly direction parallel to the South Line of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 2 a distance of 603.67 feet to a point on the East Line of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 2; thence in a Northerly direction along the East line of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 2 to the Northeast corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 2; thence in a Westerly direction along the North Line of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter to the Northwest Corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 2; thence South along the West Line of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 2 to the Point of Beginning; EXCEPT Valley View West 1st Addition, and Milford Valley View West 2nd Addition, City of Milford, Seward County, Nebraska. All interested parties shall be afforded at the public hearing a reasonable opportunity to express their views regarding the proposed redevelopment plan amendment.
