ORDINANCE NO. 939 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MILFORD, NEBRASKA REPEALING MILFORD MUNICIPAL CODE § 6-329.01 REGARDING HOBBYIST PERMITS AND AMENDING MILFORD MUNICIPAL CODE § 6-329 TO CONFORM REGARDING THE SAME. WHEREAS, Neb. Rev. Stat. § 17-505 provides authority to the City to make all such ordinances, bylaws, rules, regulations, and resolutions, not inconsistent with the laws of the state, as may be expedient for maintaining the peace, good government, and welfare of the City and its trade and commerce; WHEREAS, to aid in abatement and prevention of nuisance conditions, the City finds it expedient to repeal Code § 6-329.01 and to amend Code § 6-329 as provided herein. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MILFORD, SEWARD COUNTY, NEBRASKA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: That Milford Municipal Code § 6-329.01 is hereby repealed as follows: Section 2: That Milford Municipal Code § 6-329 is hereby amended as follows: It shall be unlawful for any person in charge or control of any property within the Municipality, whether as owner, tenant, occupant, lessee, or otherwise, to allow any nonoperating, wrecked, junked, or partially dismantled vehicle to remain on such property longer than thirty (30) days. It shall be unlawful for any person in charge or control of any property within the City, whether as owner, tenant, occupant, lessee, or otherwise, to allow any vehicle which has been unregistered for more than thirty (30) days to remain on such property. This section shall not apply to a vehicle in an enclosed building, a vehicle on the premises of a business enterprise operated in a lawful place and manner, when necessary to the lawful operation of such business enterprise; or a vehicle in an appropriate storage place or depository maintained in a lawful place and manner. (Amended by Ord. Nos. 419, 3/1/77; 673, 9/2/97) Section 3: That all Ordinance and Code provisions or portions of such in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to that extent.
