AUGUST 23, 2022 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Boards of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. CLAIMS ALLOWED SEPTEMBER 27, 2022 The Seward County Board of Equalization convened on August 23, 2022 at 8:30 a.m. Present: Chairperson: John Culver Members: Misty Ahmic, Bob Vrbka, Ken Schmieding, Darrell Zabrocki County Clerk: Sherry Schweitzer County Assessor: Marilyn Hladky Approved minutes of August 9, 2022. Hladky gave an update of her office. Convened as the Board of Commissioners. Approved minutes of August 16, 2022. Raegan Hain, a member of the public, spoke to the Commissioners about a “GEO Charge” project that may be coming to Seward County. Schweitzer gave an update of her office. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Discussions were held on repairing 238th road, infrastructure related grants, E911 addressing and budget. Approved Aging Grant Sub Award with the City of Lincoln. Approved use of courthouse south lawn for Suicide Prevention Awareness from Sept 14 – Sept 28, 2022. Held Public Hearing for changing the Accessory Apartment and Accessory Living Quarters in the Seward County Zoning Regulations. Changes were approved. Approved two Surplus Property Disposal Reports for District Court. Approved modification of the stairs in the Missile Base Silo by UNL and allow a Lidar Scan to be performed. Approved four hours of pay for those affected by the courthouse closure.
